I need this pack! I moved from flat, flat, flat Midwest US to a city where I wake up every day looking at snow capped mountains that call to me. As mentioned in the podcast, my long runs now are considerably longer so I need a nice and comfortable pack to bring stuff with me for those long runs and now mostly hikes.
I need a new velocity pack because mine is falling apart. Ill be running Bryce 100 next year and it would be great for that race.
Need the Velocity pack cause it’s perfect to put my French Cheese fuel in it … going to Coldwater 100 in January and I don’t have pack anymore…temps should be low so the cheese should not melt 😁
Forgot to mention Bronco Billy would appreciate my cheese diet
I am in desperate need of a new pack and would absolutely love to try the UltrAspire Velocity! I finished a couple of 100k’s this year and am looking to compete in my first 100 miler next year. There is no way I will ever complete a 100 miler without this pack! I need it! Help me!! 🤓🤓🤓
Liked the Trailmanners page and the UltrAspire Facebook page.
I definitely need the Velocity pack because I’m set to do the Grand Canyon rim2rim2rim this coming May. The current pack I’ve got, just won’t cut it.
Amazing interview with Bronco Billy! Great guest for episode #100!
As for the Ultraspire Velocity, who couldn’t use another pack in the quiver. I am looking at running my first hundred next year and I’m going to need the extra storage for all the cheese curds I’ll be using as fuel and the beer to keep me hydrated.
Such a great guest for your episode 100! I am so stoked that bronco billy is now in our back! I just started training for the buffalo 50 miler in the spring, and I could really use this pack, to help me train in the Ogden mountains!
I need the pack for my future plans to run the Plain 100, and because it would match my bruises.
I need the Velocity pack because my other ultraspire pack is about worn out and the Velocity pack, with the extra room, would be nice so I can use it as my go to skate ski pack this winter.
Awesome episode! If I am going to start drinking bulletproof coffee it seems I might need a bigger pack to carry TP and/or a change of shorts until I get adjusted. My current pack only has space for water and a standard amount of TP. Hook me up with that pack! #disasterpantsrelief
Another terrific episode!
I really need this pack as the nearest UltrAspire retailer is three hours from my house. Yeah, there’s always online shopping. But I would definitely want to test the fit and feel of the UltrAspire before committing since I’ll need it to be the perfect companion as I do my first 100K next spring. Then it’s off to my first 100-miler.
Thanks, guys, for all that you do for the trail running community and for considering this request.
I need this pack as currently I am wearing a woman’s specific vest. Need something to get me through all the fun on snowy trails this winter
My races and subsequent training sessions are getting longer and longer, and my Nathan pack isn’t large enough to pack everything I need for training during an Edmonton winter. -20C or colder!
So in order to allow me to training properly, I’d love to have the Ultraspire Velocity pack along with me.
I need this pack because I’m brand new to trail running and I’m training for the Cutrhroat Classic in the North Cascades. I’m slowly acquiring gear and this pack will help me get to where I need to be! Love the podcast!
So. Here’s the story. Two years ago I weighed 330 pounds. Today I weigh 244. I have listened to Trail Manners from the beginning, running on trails during my hikes (for like 10 feet…), and having a desire to run an ultra but not the confidence. This summer, for the first time in years, I have been able to expand my adventures. 11 miles on the Wasatch Crest, 9 or so miles to summit the Pfeifferhorn, 9 or so miles doing a double Bell Canyon waterfall (3000′ of vert), etc. A few weeks ago I listened to the most recent episode talking about the Beaverhead Endurance Runs and it clicked. I spent summers in that area. I still spend time in that area every year. Why not run the Beaverhead 55k in 2018? So, that’s what I’m going to do. Initially, I was going to be the guy that ran a 45 minute 5k, then nothing for 5 years, then a 55k. I have since decided that 12 hours of RUFA will make a good training run.
I’m planning on being around 200 when Beaverhead rolls around, which will be 130 pounds of weight loss. And yes, Joel, the episodes with Turd’l and you discussing his weight run through my mind while I am crushing.
In order to do all of this I need a pack that fits the bill. I have been looking for awhile and saving, but, this would greatly help me on my way.
Episode 100!
I need to add the UltrAspire pack to my quiver because I need something that says “giddy-up” to power me through the UTE 100
I’ve had the original Ultraspire Omega pack since my first ultra at Zion 50 in 2012. It’s gotten through thousands of miles and still hasn’t fallen aparat. I’m probably due for an upgrade..
Dudes, dope podcast, epic guest in Mr. 100. This pack in my quiver would be much appreciated. Something a little bigger to go longer would be a sweet addition! Who doesn’t need more gear!
If I win this I’ll sign up for my first 25k
Great Centurion episode guys! I think I need to try some bulletproof coffee now. Would the front water bottles on the Velocity be a good place to carry some Jeff Browning’secret bulletproof coffee recipe?
I need the UltrAspire Velocity pack so that I can have “some running adventures on a higher elevation.” My current set-up can barely get me through a solo 20 miler, and I need to be able to go further! I have to go out for pretty long runs in order to get some serious vert out here in the Midwest. Not only that, I have a trip to Oregon in the spring where having a great pack for running adventures will come in handy. I’d also like to do more races next year so opportunities to save cash for race entries are extremely helpful for a fulfilling 2018.
I need this pack to give to my hubby so he doesn’t have to use my hand-me-downs.
(And to convince him that ultrarunning is fun.)
Happy 100th episode! I need this pack because I’ve been shopping around for a new one for my birthday. This would be a great birthday present. And why do I need a new pack for my birthday? I’ve got a bunch of ultras in my belt now, and I’m still using the cheap vest I got started in which is good for shorter distances or runs when I don’t need to take a lot of layers or food or gear. The velocity sounds like a super awesome pack for those runs were I need a little more gear and stuff. I’ve got some epic adventure runs planned next year so it’s time for a new pack to add to my gear pile. I do most of my runs alone so I like to carry a little extra “safety” gear. Those are my reasons.
Congrats on episode 100! I need to the pack so I can be like Jeff when I grow up. I read his blog post from Hurt 100 back in 2016 just in time to get OFM ramped up for the Buffalo Run. I cracked 19 hours that year and have wanted to be like Jeff ever since! Lotsa long self supported adventures in Idaho to get some good use out of it.
Hey guys, Happy #100. I’ll be celebrating my 6oth birthday in about six more weeks and what an awesome present this would be. I really need the Ultraspire Velocity racing vest. I currently run in an old Ultraspire model but here’s the problem. I’m a real back of the pack runner, 3 DFLs and usually one of the last few finishers. My current pack doesn’t hold enough gear for someone that may take many hours between aid stations even after adding a couple of extra pouches and just in time for the Antelope Island Fall Classic, thanks!
My husband Jim lives to be a part of the ultra running community. He always carries extra food and other supplies to share with other runners and needs a bigger running pack. Whether running or volunteering he helps new runners learn about the sport and the gear needed. He is already a great champion for your products (he has used your light belts for years) and adding your pack to his quiver would give him another Uktraspire product to promote.
I want to run my first Ultra in May 2018. A 50m self sufficent Trailrace. My 3l Salomon sense set is a bit small. I think the velocity has a good size for this kind of race!
Because the one vest in my quiver is lonely… #SadAndAloneUltraAspireAlpha2
Space to haul more gear on all day adventures would be nice too.
Hey there and happy 100th episode! The velocity pack would be amazing and would become the one and only/first arrow in my quiver! It may also give me the ammunition I need to convince my husband to let me book tickets, fill out a race entry and head to Utah for a mountain ultra!
I’m the guy for this pack because I moved to Minnesota and will need LOTS of storage for winter runs. Plus, I have 1 more shot at the Hardrock lottery for 2018, and I’m sure I’ll get in :), so I’ll need it for next summer.
Jeff is a hero of mine and thank you for such a great interview. Think I’m going to pull the trigger and reach out to him about coaching.
I need this pack because I plan on running a 50k on my home trails just to do it. It will probably be in December and being that I live in Portland it will be a wet one. I own the Patagonia Forerunner, but I need an upgrade badly. The fact that Jeff helped design this makes it a no-brainer for me. It looks like lots of folks have good reasons for wanting it on here, so I hope someone gets lucky and they get good miles with it. Thanks for a great podcast, guys. I’m headed over to Facebook to like the page(only reason I haven’t already is because I’m rarely on there). Good luck everyone!
Thanks for another outstanding podcast with Jeff-someone that this ultra runner in his 40s takes great inspiration from.
I need this vest to outrun moose, bobcats and drunken loggers in the Maine woods where I live. It’s a long winter and having a vest to carry gels, layers and the occasional dram of whiskey sure would help. To say nothing of next year’s ultras and beyond. Grateful for all you do with this beautiful podcast.
