Great episode, guys.
What do I want for Christmas? All the running things: a new pack for ultras (your insight was helpful), race entry to JFK50, and a new running jacket.
Of course, slightly used poles or SNB would be cool, too. 🙂
Happy holidays.
Thanks for all the great ideas! I’ve been wanting to try untapped waffles, but of course I’m not picky 😉.
For Christmas, I want some cold weather Dry Max socks, a new pair of tights for tromping in the snow, and race entries for El Vaquero Loco, Spoeedgoat, Logan Peak Trail Run, and other fun mountainy events (Spousal Approval Pending).
Besides good will to all men, and women, I want Santa to bring me the Lumen 600 waist light, a few pairs of DryMax socks and the Patagonia Wind Shield Jacket.
Hey!
I have the Saucony KOA. Great shoe. A little stiff at first, but responsive and has some nice underlying cushion.
What I want for Christmas is, i want some sweet kicks (probably TOPO Magniflys), a new GPS Watch, and some speed in my legs.
I want a new Suunto Watch and to run into a couple other old guys on Malan’s one morning.
What I want for Christmas is a pair of Katoola Micospikes, Salomon Slab Sense Ultra 8 running vest and a Trail Manners Beanie!
All I want for Christmas….is a healthy body for 2018 to get me through two 100 milers 6 weeks apart!
Merry Christmas my friends. Thanks for all the great shows!
I want to keep my continued good health for Christmas and a 600 Lumen waist light would be nice.
Hope you guys have a great Christmas and thanks for helping to pass the time with your podcast….by the way I love the new beanies !!
I’m asking the big guy for ALL the cute run attire, a new suunto and more disposable cameras.
I want one of everything on Joel’s list! Oh, and a new back.
Features are my all time favorite sock. It was good to here you guys talk about them. I also have a medicine ball and kettle bell. (I am trying to add some different training in the mix)
Great episode of course the wife walks in on me listening to it washing dishes and hears the price of some stuff. Lol oh well.
Some more injinji socks, a pair of Carson Footwear shoes, I would love to come back out to Utah and ski or run!
Love ALL your podcast, but the holiday ideas for sure! My Christmas Wish list would definitely have Untapped Waffles, a brand new Suunto, and last but not least Ultra Signup gift card. Great Idea by the way. Keep the great episodes coming!
Loved the episode, lots of great ideas! After listening to the show I think I want one of those Patagonia airshed pullovers.
I have new shoes and maybe some race entries on my list! And I already gifted myself a ton of honey stinger waffles.
Merry Christmas! Thanks for a great podcast!
All I want for Christmas is my headlamp back from Joel, looks like we’ll have to go running here in a couple weeks!
Dear Santa,
Please bring me an altitude tent for xmas. I live on the east coast and don’t want my ass to get kicked at El Vaquero Loco in August. I also love Darn Tough socks – knee high. And could you send Joel and Aric a four pack of Heady Topper?
xo,
Amy
For Christmas? Altra Lone Peaks size 11, Injinji socks several pair, 3 Simple Hydration water bottles, Petzel Reactik headlamp, Entry into the Leadville 100 (if only that could happen). Patagonia Pro-Strider 5″ or 7″ in all the colors!!!!!
All I want for Christmas is family time. Getting to spend Christmas with my mother for the first time in 4 years. I’m thrilled.
All i want for Christmas is more running gear! 🙂
5 new buffs
4 trail shorts
3 UV buffs
2 running shoess
& 1 epic running year
My Christmas list is simple…I want to sit in studio 78 and enjoy a beer and cheese curds with Aric and Joel!
Love the show! All I want for xmas is more trails and some mountains here in Indiana, can you make that happen?
That’s a nice list! And feel no shame on the nip protection – I can’t even run a 4-miler without having issues!
For Christmas I’d love…
– a race entry (or 2) for sure
– I’ve had my eye on the Strider Pro’s for a while now
– a Ham Radio – Being an RD, a race I’m putting together for next year will require us to have ham radio operators. I’d like to be in the know and be able to talk with our aid stations at any given point. Gotta get my license too!
– some sort of ATV for sure.
I’ve been eyeing new trekking poles for a LONG time now, I’d love to get some for Christmas 🙂
My Christmas wish list is:
* Lose weight so I can get faster 🙂
* I am LOVING the Untapped Waffles(had a raspberry one today)
* I can always use some SNB. Plus my wife thinks it’s SOOOO funny that it has the name it does.
* Looking to get lots of vert next year so i would enjoy trekking poles.
* To become so wealthy to buy all my running friends what they want(even Joel’s Sprinter)
But seriously love the podcast, super cool to finally meet you both and wish you both the best!
First things first… you finally talked about nipple chafing! Glad to know the tips of my nips aren’t alone. My secret weapon is super glue. Don’t tell anyone;)
My Christmas list consists of trekking poles, Squirrels Nut Butter, and an electronic calf/foot massager
All I want for Christmas is a coach! Probably not happening…but I really just want to be able to get to the starting line of my first 100K (Zion) injury free and feeling strong! Loved the Christmas podcast! Thanks guys!
I love your holiday gift guide episodes! They really get the gears turning on what I “need” for my running adventures. Here are a few things that I have thought of (some of which are on my Amazon wishlist if you want my email address…):
*Buffs, especially a TM one (recently started using them and they’re
awesome)
*Hydration vest- I like my Orange Mud Vest Pack but I’d like to try
something different.
*Fast pack for run commutes
*Untapped stuff- I have almost bought some a few different times
*Patagonia shorts- inspired by the Aric and Joel
*A good running jacket/vest
*Of course, race entries like crazy! This is where I always talk myself out
of spending cash.
*And a runcation to Utah for some sweet trails and cheese curds with the TrailManners crew!
Hey fellas.
My husband badly needs a pair of tights for Christmas. He only has one pair, and sometimes they get worn 4 days in a row without being washed. My closet smells like a gym locker.
I know you guys don’t wear them, but I would love a recommendation!
The days are getting shorter so my runs start at first light
Trying to stay away from the holiday treats so my gear doesn’t fit too tight!
New goals and a new year have me feeling like is time to catch-up.
You know what that means…time to Taper up!
It was fun to see you guys in the morning at Capstone. For Christmas I’m hoping to get a kick ass jacket to pack around the La Sals the Ute. I also have one of Turd’l’s warm Mexican beers to donate to the prize pool.
Mojo!
Without a HR100 entry I am feeling lost. I need a kick in the butt (figurative or literal) that will get my head in the game. I need a new goal until next year’s lottery.
That other stuff is good too.
Great episode with some excellent ideas. I could use some new Drymax socks, a new Ultraspire vest and light belt. Am I asking for too much? Nah!
Thanks for the podcast guys, listened a little late. All I want for Christmas is for life to calm down so I can get some fresh air and time on the trails.
I wanted an entry to Hardrock for Christmas but guess I’ll now settle for Superior Trail 100
